Encase softwaze is a forensic tool used e�ctensively by the task force to anatyze the shuctuce of computers and the data contained therein and the ability to use the softwaze is necessary to perform computer forensic exanunaUOns. The ICAC Task Force targets individuals that use computers tA comcnit crimes against ctuldren via the Internet. The participant is a Woodbury Police officer and a member of the task force. Outside agencies participafing in the task force aze not compensated for their staffs time by the task force. This training is essenfial for the investigator to have a working knowledge on examining computers for evidence. This is specialized training and there is no local source of this specialized training. The Woodbury Police Departrnent has signed a memorandum of understanding with the police department relating to the ICAC task force. The ICAC grant has funds set aside to cover this type of training.
