SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA, OCTOBER 6, 2000 . . . The Saint Paul Division of Parks
and Recreation has scheduled a meeting to hear public comments concerning its youth
athletics' policies and procedures. The meeting will be held on Thursday,November 9,
2000, from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at Como Park Senior High School, 740 Rosc Avenue in Saint
Paul. Lisa Lissimore of the Minnesota State High School League is scheduled to be the
facilitator. The Division is seeking input from parents, coaches, booster club members
and community residents on the following issues: residency requirements, age/eligibility
guidelines, competitive and non-competitive programming and factors which influence a
parent or guardian's decision when choosing an athletic program. People unable to attend
the meeting may submit written comments on forms available at all Saint Paul recreation
centers.

Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is a division of the City of Saint Paul whose
mission is to offer recreation opportunities the public wants and preserve the physical and
