Saint Paul Mayor Norm Coleman will deliver the 2000 State of the City address on Tuesday, February 29. The
speech will be held at the new Science Museum of Minnesota's Omni Theater and broadcast live on the Internet,
"This is a special event for two important reasons," Mayor Coleman said. "First, we are fortunate to have an
opportunity to showcase the new Science Museum of Minnesota and the fantastic new Omni Theatre. Secondly,
this speech will be the first major city address to be broadcast live on the Internet. The great power of technology
is to make more information accessible to more people. This year anyone with a computer connected to the
Internet will be able to see the speech live as it happens."
