The purpose for sending you the Issues List is to let you know what budget issues are being identified by
the City Council, so that appropriate staff can have adequate time to prepare written responses to their
questions and prepare presentations. Peter Hames, F.S.O. Director. is responsible for coordinating both
the data flow from departments and offices to the City Council and the scheduling of presentations before
the City Council. The Issues List will be updated weekly as Councilmembers become more familiar with
the details of the Proposed 2002 Budgets for the City of Saint Paul, the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority, the Saint Paul Regional Water Utility and the Saint Paul RiverCentre Authority.
Since the last Issues List was distributed, City Council members have identified another 15 issues
which relate to the: Citizen Service Office, City Attorney Office, Cityhall &Courthouse Security,
Parks& Recreation, RiverCentre. A"New Issue" now being identified by a Council member, has a"N"
in the left column before the issue description.
The purpose for sending you the Topics Schedule is to let you know what budget issues have been
scheduled for which future City Council Budget Meetings. This schedule will be updated weekly. Not all
of the budget issues identified have yet to be scheduled for review at a future City Council Budget
Meeting.
Since the last Topics Schedule was distributed, the following departments, offices and or organizations
have been tentatively scheduled to present information and answer questions at the following budget
meetings:
City Council Budget is rescheduled to Nov. 28.
Mayor's Office Budget is rescheduled to Nov. 28.
Reservist Call Up Policy is rescheduled to Nov. 28.
Joint Truth-In-Taxation Public Hearing With The City Council and Ramsey County and Saint Paul School
District 625 is scheduled for Tuesday December 11, 2001 at 6 p.m. at Arlington High School.
