ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, that Gary Gronewald, an employee of the Department
of Police, was injured in a third party accident on July 1, 1978 ,
while engaged in the performance of his duties ; and
WHEREAS , the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of $2,067 . 20 therefor, and said employee vas disabled from work
for a period of time being paid salary in the amount of $5 , 354.80
for which the City may claim credit at the compensation rate in
effect at the time of the accident, and was paid permanent partial
disability compensation in the total amount of $10, 638 .00; and
WHEREAS , a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident, which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of $11,000.00;
now, therefore, be it
ORDERED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept the sum of $11,000.00 in full, final and complete
settlement of its claim herein; and that said sum is to be allocated
to the Miscellaneous Revenue of the General Revenue Fund as
reimbursement of Workers ' Compensation Fund expenses .
