Gentlemen:-
Pursuant to instructions of the Committee on Streets of the
Board of Aldermen, I transmit herewith proper form of resolution for the
vacation of the streets and alleys in St . John' s V ood Addition, adjacent
to Blocks 1, 4, 5 and 8 in said addition, upon petition of Oliver Crosby
and others; the compensation being the dedication to the public of an
avenue eighty feet wide, east of and adjacent to said Blocks 1, 4, 5 and
8 of St. John ' s Wood Addition, and pay into the treasury the sum of
Twenty-five Dollars and the costs of the proceeding.

WHEREAS, There was heretofore presented to the Board
of Alderman, one of the branches of the Common Council of the
City of St.Paul, the petition of Oliver Crosby and others, the
owners of all the land and property abutting upon and adjoining
the streets and alleys hereinafter described praying for the
vation of the streets and alleys in St.John' s Wood Addition to
St.Paul in Ramsey County, Minnesota, adjacent to Blocks One(1) ,
Four -(4) , Five (5) and Eight in sail Addition, said streets
desired to be vacated being a portion of Lydia street, Grace
street, Sloan street and Montrose avenue, designated as Cretin
avenue on the recorded plat of said Addition, in the City of
St.Paul, Minnesota, being more particularly shown and described
upon the plat annexed to said petition, which said petition as
duly verified and required by law sets forth the facts and
reasons for such vacation, and
WHEREAS, The said Petard of Aldermen deemed it expedient
that the matter therein referred to should be proceeded with arft

ordered said petition and accompanying plat to be filed of record
in the office of the City Clerk of said city, and ordered said
City Clerk to give .-notice by publication in the official paper
of said city in the manner and for the time required by law;
that said petition and the subject matter thereof would be heard
and considered by the Committee on Streets of said Board of
Alderman at its next meeting to be held in the Council Chamber
in the Court House and City Hall building, in said city, on the
Thirteenth (13th) day of June, 1912 at 4' o' clock in the after-
Moon of said date,which said notice was duly published, and
WHEREAS, Said Committee did duly meet and did then and
I, ' thereafter duly adjourn the hearing of said matter until October
31st, 1912 at 4 o' clock P.3)1. at the same place, and
