Outside agencies participating in the task force are not compensated for their staff s time by the ' task force. This tranung is essential for the invesrigator to have a working laiowledge of computer forensics. This is specialized training , and there is no local source of similaz training in the azea. The Orono Police Depar(ment has signed a memorandum of understanding with the police department relating to the ICAC task force. The Federal ICAC grant has funds set asidz to cover this type of training. This training will increase the invesfigator's capabilities in the use of the forensic tools we use here and thereby increase the capabilities of the task force.
