TO THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY CF ST . PAUL, 1 OESOTA.
Gentlemen:-
The undersigned petitioners represent and state that they
are a majority of the resident owners of all land and property abut-
ting upon that portion of the east and west alley in Smith's Sub-
division of Block sip. (6) of Stinson' s Division in said City, lying
S
west of the wect line of of 5 in said block, and also upon the north
A
and south alley in said block, and your petitioners pray for the vaca-
tion of all that part of said east and west alley lying west of the
fkz.westerly line of sai d Lot 5, and for the vacation of said north and
south alley.
That the facts and reasons for such vacation are that a
church building is located upon Lot 4 in said block, and said north
and south alley runs between said church building and the parsonage
_ used in connection therewith, and as such is a great detriment and
annoyance to the use and enjoyment of said church property. That
your 'petitioners are willing, in consideration of such vacation, to
convey and dedicate to the City for alley purposes, tree easterly
twenty (20) feet of Lot 5 in said block, which will furnish every
facility and convenience to the public and property owners in said
block for alley purposes, which now exist .
That a plat of said alleys and surrounding property is
hereto attached and made a part of this petition.
Wherefore, your petitioners pray that the aforesaid portions
of said alleys may be vacated and discontinued.
Dated October 18th, 1909 .
