TO THE CO11MON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ST . PAUL.
Gentlemen : -
The undersigned , being a majority of the owners of all the
land fronting and abutting upon the alley hereinafter mentioned ,
respectfully petition your Honorable Body to vacate the north and south
alley in Block twenty-five ( 25) , Stinson' s Subdivision of Stinson, Brown
and. Ramsey' s Addition to the City of St . Paul, from James street to a
line which coincides with the northerly line of Lots 29 and 40 in said.
Block 25 . A plat of said block is hereto attached and made a part of
this petition .
The facts and reasons for such vacation are that the alley
as now located is of no use or convenience to any person, and it is
desired to use the property on both sides of said alley exclusively for
school purposes , and in order to do so it is necessary that said alley
be vacated.
That your petitioners , in consideration of said vacation
will deed to the City of St . Paul , the westerly 10 feet of Lot 28 and
the easterly 10 feet of Lot 41 in said Block 25 , Stinson ' s Subdivision
of Stinson , Brown & Ramsey ' s Addition .
I
Wherefore , your petitioners pray that the north and south
alley from James street to a line which coincides with the northerly
/ ' line of Lots 29 and 40 in said Block 25 , be vacated . .
