Pursuant to instruction of the Committee on Streets of the
Assembly, I transmit herewith a proper form of resolution vacating the
streets and alleys in Dickerman Park , upon petition of Griggs, Cooper &
Company and others . The Committee did not fix any compensation for the
vacation, in addition to the expense of the proceeding; consequently I
have left a blank in the resolution to be filled in in such an amount
as the Common Council may determine .
I have also reserved existing sewer and water rights of
the City .
Very respectfully,

L .RUND LET T.
COMMISSIONER
St . Paul, Minn. Oct. 7 , 1908.
The Committee on Streets of the Assembly,
C I T Y.
Gentlemen, -
In the petition of Griggs - Cooper & Co. et al for the vacation
of the Streets and alleys in Dickerman ?ark it is stated that "None of said
described streets or alleys have ever been opened, graded or improved or
used as public streets and the public will not suffer or be inconvenienced
by such vacation. " As a matter of fact the streets within the limits of
this addition were graded in 1891, there is a sewer in Charles St. from
Fairview Ave. to Aldine St . and the water mains are in Charles St. and
Sherburne Ave . between the same limits. For this reason it would appear
that the public had.sorne interests in this tract described to be vacated.
Respectfully submitted,
Commissioner of Public Works.
