TO THE HONORABLE, THE COMMON COUNCIL OF T}{R CITY' OF ST.PAUL:-
Your petitioners respectfully show thet they are a majority of the owners
(residents within the City of St.Paul, in Ramsey County, Minnesota) of prcperty
on the line of the street known as "Floral Street", between Oakland Avenue and
the South line of Grand. Avenue, in the City of St.Paul, County of Ramsey, State
of Minnesota; that the seid Floral Street, from a point beginning at the South
line of Heather Place and extending to Oakland Avenue, is an abrupt hill, un-
traveled, not used and not graded , and unfit for the purposes of a street or
highway, and can never be used for any such purpose, and that although said strip
is but two hundred and twenty (220) feet in length, the fall from the summit of
said hill to said Oakland Avenue is forty (40) feet. By reason of the forego-
ing, it is advisable and proper that said Floral Street be vacated as to the por-
tion of such street included between the Northerly line of Oakland Avenue and a
line three (3) feet South of the Southerly line of Heather Place, extended across
said Floral Street, and your petitioners agree to such vacation upon such terms
and conditions as shall be prescribed by your honorable body. A plat showing
such Floral Street between the Southerly line of Grand Avenue and the Northerly
line of Oakland Avenue, and of the lands adjacent thereto, is hereto attached and
hereby ads a part hereof, and on said plat there is indicated in green the por-
tion of said Floral Street sought to be vacated and discontinued.
Z'HEFIFOfE, Your petitioners pray that this petition be received, heard and
considered in the manner provided by the Charter cf the City of St.Paul, and that
the portion of Floral Street lying between the Northerly line of Oakland Avenue
and a line three (3) feet South of the Southerly line of Heather Place, extended
across said Floral Street, be vacated and discontinued upon such terms and con-
ditions and for such compensation as shall be directed by your honorable body, and
for such action as shall be necessary and proper in the premisee.
