Whereas, said Board of Aldermen f
deemed it expedient that the matter
therein referred to should be proceed-
ed with, and ordered said petition and
accompanying plat to be filed of rec-
ord in the office of the City Clerk of
said city, and ordered said City Clerk
to give notice by publication in the
paper of said city, in the man-
ner and for the time required by law.
that said petition and the subject mat-
ter thereof would be heard and con-
sidered by the Committee on Streets
of said Board of Aldermen, at its reg-
ular meeting to"be held in the Council
Chamber in the Court House and City
Hall Building, in said city, on`the 13th
day of August, 1908, at four o'clock 1.,
On., which said notice was -duly pub;'

Committee on Streets of said Board of
Aldermen did meet at the time an
place above mentioned and appointed
for the investigation and considera-
tion thereof;; and did then and there
hear all testimony and evidence ad-
duced on the part of the petitioners
and all other persons interested in the
matter of said proposed -vacation, and
did take proof of the matters averred`

opinion that the prayer of said-peti-
tion should be granted upon=the terms;,

Men, recommending the adoption of an

Re solved, by the Common Council`,
of the City of St. Paul, that the south----
erly five feet of said Litchfield'street
north of and abutting upon lot-one (1)
in block two (2) of Lanoux's Subdivi-
sion of Lot Nine of Bazille's Addition
of Acre Lots, as shown upon said plat,
be and the same is hereby vacated and
discontinued as a public street, sub-
ject, however, to the following condi-
tions, that is to say:
Such vacation is upon the condi-
tion that said petitioners shall, before
this resolution takes effect, pay into
the treasury of said city the sum of
ten dollars ($10.00), in addition to the
expenses of this proceeding, which is
hereby fixed as compensation for such
vacation.

We , the undersigned, property owners fronting and abutting
upon the property hereinafter described , respectfully petition your
Honorable Body to vacate the southerly five feet of Litchfield street ,
which lies immediately north of and abuts upon Lot one (1) , Block two
(2) , Lanoux' s Subdivision of Lot 9 , Bazille ' s Addition of Acre Lots .
That the reason for the vacation of said strip of land is to
beautify and straighten the alinement of said Litchfield street .
Wherefore , The undersigned respectfully petition your
Honorable Body to vacate the above described strip of land .

Pursuant to instruction of the Committee on Streets of the
Board of Aldermen , I transmit herewith a proper form of resolution
vacating the southerly five feet of Litchfield street north of and
abutting upon Lot 1 in Block 2, Lanoux' s Subdivision of Lot 9 of Bazille 's
Addition of Acre Lots , upon petition of Peter Westlund and others, the
consideration being fixed at Ten Dollars and the expenses of the pro-
ceeding .
