1906 (13) 11111 Welk „Ate VC'S. dee,." vt,p4 e-40C rA, V i TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA: We, the undersigned , being a majority of the owners of the property on both sides of that portion of Laurel Avenue and Finn Avenue hereinafter petitioned to be vacated, respectfully petition your Honorable Body to vacate Laurel Avenue between Cleveland Avenue and Cretin Avenue , and to vacate Finn Avenue between Selby Avenue and Laurel Avenue as the same are marked red upon the accompanying plat . T1'..e reason your petitioners ask for this vacation is that the College of St. Thomas , the owner of all the property lying south of that portion of Laurel Avenue petitioned to,be vacated , and more than one-half of the property fronting on the north side of said Laurel Avenue, and also owns one-half of the property fronting on that por- tion of Finn Avenue petitioned to be vacated, has its buildings lo- cated on both sides of the said Laurel and Finn Avenues , and it is desirous of having said Avenues vacated that connections of water, light , and heat , and free access may be had between all of said Col- lege Buildings ; and also to provide for other buildings necessary for the further extension of the College. The other petitioner, Most Rev. Jon Ireland , owns all other property fronting on said Avenues petitioned to be vacated, with the exception of 108 feet, on which said Ireland holds a contract to purchase. That these portions of Laurel and Finn Avenues petitioned to be vacated have never been opened, graded, or used as a traveled highway. __ _____ ___ _.44%?______ __ __ __ ________ 11-6(--4-r --4 / , 9 ', • -de-A,T, deOr /11=-7:: / • I, / dr Dcpaihnent of 3a%V-. )..)k CITY OF SAINT PAUL.
