having the proper form of resolution prepared and submitted vacating
that portion of the Street referred to in said petition, upon the con-

The Common Council of the City of St. Paul,
Gentlemen:-
The undersigned petitioner, being the owner of all
of the property and real estate, fronting and abutting upon that part
of Lisbon Street , in said City, hereinafter described, respectfully
request your Honorable 7ody, to vacate and discontinue, all that part
of said Lisbon Street, lying north of Oakland Ave. which is more particular-
ly described and shown upon a plat thereof hereto annexed and made a part
of this petition, the part so sought to be vacated, being colored red
upon said plat,
That the facts and reasons for such vacation, are that
the portion of said Lisbon Street, so sought to be vacated, has never
been' used by said City for street purposes. That said Oakland Ave,
is open graded and improved for public travel, and by reason thereof
and of said Lisbon Street , not being improved or graded, it shuts off
your petitioner's property from access to said Oakland Ave.
That although not abutting thereon, your petitioner' s
property has been assessed for improving said Oakland Ave. and the con-
struction of sidewalk, on the northerly side thereof.
That your petitioner desires to grade and improve that
portion of said Lisbon Street texbexx so sought to be vacated, so as
to get access to Oakland Ave. That such vacation will not interfere
with ample street facilities for any other property in the vicinity
and will not injuriously affect any other property owner or the public,
but as your petitioner believes, will be for the benefit and best in-
terest of said City
Wherefore, your petitioner, prays that all that part of
Lisbon St, lying north of Oakland Ave. as shown upon said plat be vacated
