Your petitioners further respectfully show that said vaca- tion is desired because of the proposed erection by one of the pe- titioners, to-wit : Foley Bros . & Kelly, of a large building which shall be devoted exclusively to wholesale purposes, arxl said building; will be located upon all of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Block 61 of Kitt- son' s Addition to the city of St .Paul, and it has been found that the area of said lots is not sufficient but that it will require Vin addition approximately twenty (20) feet more in width to fully carry- out the plans and designs of the building proposed to be erected. That said Pine street as now existing , is sixty-six ( 66) feet in. width . That there are now and have for some time past existed numerous sheds used for storing coal, machinery and other materials upon the said westerly twenty ( 20) feet of said Pine - street, and that the vacation of said twenty ( 20) feet as desired by your petitioners, would cause no inconvenience or trouble to the public at large, but upon the contrary would subserve every public interest, and the maintenance of the remaining forty-six (46) feet in width of said street would be adequate to care for all of the traffic which now or in the future may exist in that vicinity. Your petitioners further represent that there has been vacated the wasterly thirty-three feet of Pine street, situate immediately north of the proposed vacation, now occupied by the Northern pacific office building . That the proposed vacation would in effect render said Pine street more uniform in width between East Fourth sreet and East Third street in said city. // That X alb * hereto attached you will find a plat which indicates the portion of said Pine street which it is desired by your petitioners to have vacated . Your petitioners further represent that they are willing to pay to the city of St .Paul whatever compensation it is deemed just by your honorable body should be paid for the vacation as herein petitioned for .
