It is my understanding the City of St. Paul no longer owns the property. As you suggested, I have obtained a copy of the vacation resolution for verification. I was also informed Shari Moore forwarded the file to Ramsey County on March 8th which continues the process of being transferred into private ownership. I would also like to confirm your approval of my intentions to proceed with my project. I was informed through our conversation that you would see no problem with starting construction of a new garage placed on the property. I am aware that the property will be divided evenly, and the adjacent 10 feet will be attached to my property. I am also aware that prior to any construction a permit must be purchased from the city of St. Paul, and all work must be inspected and comply with all codes. Please contact me at 651.291.7521, if I have misinterpreted our conversation. Thank you, Bill Rascher cc. Shari Moore Deputy City Clerk City of St. Paul 15 W. We request this vacation for the following reasons: The property in question has not been used as a street or alley for many years, if ever. For at least the past 40 years, the property has been used and maintained by the current and previous owners of Lots 8, 9 and 10, whose garages abut the city property. This includes maintaining a sidewalk along the south side of the property(used for ingress and egress to and through Lot 10), mowing, planting, clearing, cleaning and other- wise using the property. It was not until last summer that the abutting owners realized that the 20 feet section between the garages was still a city street or alley. Contact Person (s) J.Michael Barone and Use L.
