Subject: Swede Hollow, vacation 23-1999 is not a street.
The City owns that property fee title. This was not street right-of-way.
The City is conveying the property with a quit claim deed to the petition. This makes it a lucky vacation for
you, because the City does not need to make a map for this vacation. Once the petitioner has paid for the
property, then I will file it over at Ramsey.
So there is nothing for you and Linda left to do on this vacation.
If you could, make me a copy for vacation 15-1999 when you get a chance. The resolution is 99-1158.
There is no rush on this, I just need it for my records. I'll pick it up.

wherein the Commission concurs in the sale of the referenced parcel, provided a
restriction is placed on the deed.

RESOLUTION 99-10
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Commission is an appointed body to
advise the Mayor and City Council on long-range and city-wide matters related to Parks and
Recreation, and
WHEREAS, in 1974, the City purchased Lot 1, Block 11, of Irvine's Second addition to
Saint Paul to prevent unauthorized dumping of refuse and construction debris into the adjoining
Swede Hollow Park, and
WHEREAS, in 1982, the City agreed to the sale of the southern half of said Lot 1, Block
11 to the residential homeowners of the adjoining Lot 2, Block 11 of Irvine's Second Addition to
Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, said homeowners have significantly improved their property and have
requested that the City consider sale of the northern half of said Lot 1, Block 11 to enable further
improvements to the properties including construction of a garage, and
WHEREAS, the northern half of said Lot 1, Block 11 is no longer needed by the City for
park purposes,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation •
Commission concurs with the sale of the northern half of Lot 1, Block 11, Irvine's Second
Addition to Saint Paul to the owners of the southern half of Lot 1 and all of Lot 2, Block 11
Irvine's Second Addition to Saint Paul, Clifford M. and Carol Carey, 635 Bates Avenue, Saint
Paul, Minnesota 55106.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Commission recommends that a restriction be placed
on the deed for Lot 1, Block 11, Irvine's Second Addition, such that construction of any dwelling
unit on said lot shall be prohibited.

wherein the Commission concurs in the sale of the referenced parcel, provided a
restriction is placed on the deed.

RESOLUTION 99-10
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Commission is an appointed body to
advise the Mayor and City Council on long-range and city-wide matters related to Parks and
Recreation, and
WHEREAS, in 1974, the City purchased Lot 1, Block 11, of Irvine's Second addition to
Saint Paul to prevent unauthorized dumping of refuse and construction debris into the adjoining
Swede Hollow Park, and
WHEREAS, in 1982, the City agreed to the sale of the southern half of said Lot 1, Block
11 to the residential homeowners of the adjoining Lot 2, Block 11 of Irvine's Second Addition to
Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, said homeowners have significantly improved their property and have
requested that the City consider sale of the northern half of said Lot 1, Block 11 to enable further
improvements to the properties including construction of a garage, and
WHEREAS, the northern half of said Lot 1, Block 11 is no longer needed by the City for
park purposes,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation
Commission concurs with the sale of the northern half of Lot 1, Block 11, Irvine's Second
Addition to Saint Paul to the owners of the southern half of Lot 1 and all of Lot 2, Block 11
Irvine's Second Addition to Saint Paul, Clifford M. and Carol Carey, 635 Bates Avenue, Saint
Paul, Minnesota 55106.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Commission recommends that a restriction be placed
on the deed for Lot 1, Block 11, Irvine's Second Addition, such that construction of any dwelling
unit on said lot shall be prohibited.
