Hayes of 512 York Avenue, Brighton Development Company, and the East Side Neighborhood Development Company do hereby petition the Council of the City of St. Paul to vacate the public land described below: Bradley Street North to York Avenue from a line extended Westerly of the South-West Corner of Lot 11 , Block 2, to the South-East Corner of Lot 20, Block 3, E. Rice's 1st Addition, Please refer to the attached standard plat map showing the portion of the alley that we are petitioning to vacate. The purpose of the vacation is to allow for the construction of a fence along the future property line between Bradley Terrace and Mr. Lutter and Mr. Hayes. (See attached maps) in order to stop the flow of foot and bicycle traffic between York Avenue and Bradley Street, thereby creating a more secure and safe environment for children in the area. The proposal for the fence is part of the "Mending Fences" Project, a small project of the Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP) Cycle 18. Please refer to the preliminary site plan showing the placement of the fence and division of the vacated land which will go to the owners on York Avenue.
