A license agreement would grant the Port legal access to, and use of, the "Building 17" property and protect the City's interests. VANTAGES IF APPROVED: The Port wiD be able to proceed with its redevelopment plans for the old Stroh`s site. The Port will also construct, at its expense, a 30-foot wide asphalt roadway, with fencing and gates; that eventually will serve as a temporary route for the nearby bike path during construction of the new Phalen Boulevard. ISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED: NOIIC ISADVANTAGES IF NOT APPROVED: The Port will be unable to gain access to the brewery property to do demolition work and redevelop the progerty. The City will need to consttruct a new re-routing of the bike path at its own expense.
