WHEREAS, the Critical Incident Response Team (C7R1� of the Saint Panl Police Deparlwent is
conducting weapons and tactical training.
WHEREAS, this training is of an advanced nature and the facilities required must provide multipnrpose
ranges and a mock village where gas, smoke and simunifions will be deployed. The facility must also
include structures for tactical assault, rescue, and entry.
WH�REAS, this training will take place on September 12-15, 2001 at the United States Army Base located
at Camp Ripley, Fort Ripley, Minnesota
THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED, that the City of Saint Paul pay for egpenses of the CTRT members including
lodging and meals . Advanced monies will be administered to Commander Joe Neuberger for meals expenses, and
lodging expenses will be paid to Camp Ripley upon complefion of the training. Total cost is not to
egceed $3,400.00

The Saint Paul Police DepartmenPs CIRT Team will be required to 4ave1 to Camp Ripley on September 12-I5, 2001 in order
to utilize the United States Army's advanced tra.ining facility there so as to better prepaze the CII2T officers for
critical incidents.
The CIRT members would be better prepazed as a cohesive unit to deal with incidents in the City of Saint Paul that would
threaten citizens. The CIRT members would also be able to use tlus training in order to help their fellow of�icers on the
department.
