ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, Anthony Bennett and Joseph Emer, employees of
the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, were injured
in a third party accident on May 5, 1974, while engaged in the
performance of their duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of $69.40 for Anthony Bennett and $53.85 for Joseph Emer and said
employees were disabled from work for a period of time being paid
salary in the amount of $205.80 for Anthony Bennett and $101.80 for
Joseph Emer, for which the City may claim credit at the rate of
$100.00 per week, and that Squad Car No. 948 was also damaged in
said accident to the extent of $385.55 for which Registered Bill
No. B00936 was issued; and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employees and the other party involved in said accident, which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of $653.12;
now, therefore, be it
• ORDERED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept the sum of $653.12 in full, final and complete settlement
of its claim herein; that said sum is to be allocated as follows:
$385.55 in payment of Registered Bill No. B00936;
$120.00 credited to Miscellaneous Revenue of the
General Revenue Fund as reimbursement for Police
Salaries;
$123.25 credited to Miscellaneous Revenue of the
General Revenue Fund as reimbursement of Workmen' s
Compensation Fund expenses; and
$24.32 credited to the Suspense Fund as employees '
share in third-party recovery of City' s subrogation
