ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER,
WHEREAS, Michael J. Maloney, an employee of the Department
of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party
accident on September 9, 1971, while engaged in the performance
of his duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of $17,543. 10 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work
for a period of time being paid salary in the amount of $5,218.03;
and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said empl yee and the other party involved in said accident,
which provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of
$20,000.0 ); now, therefore, be it
ORDERED, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept, the sum of $20,000.00 in full , final and complete
settlemen�herefor;of its claim herein and to execute any necessary
releases that of said sum $5,218.03 is thereby credited
. to the Police Salary Fund and $14,781 .97 to the Workmen' s
Compensation Fund.
