1 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY2010
2 NEIGHBORHOOD SALES TAX REVITALIZATION
3 LOAN AND GRANT AWARDS

5 WHEREAS, on September 28, 1994, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul established the
6 Neighborhood Sales Tax Revitalization (STAR) Program, C.F. 94-1127; and
7
8 WHEREAS, the Neighborhood STAR Program is financed in accordance with Minnesota
9 Statutes, Chapter 297A, authorized by the State of Minnesota, Chapter No. 375, Sec.46; and
10
11 WHEREAS, the purpose of the Neighborhood STAR Program is to fund capital improvements to
12 further residential, commercial and economic development in the neighborhoods of St. Paul; and
13
14 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, Capital Improvement Budget Committee, Neighborhood
15 STAR Board, and city staff have provided input into the review and selection process: now
16 therefore be it

18 RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and with the advice of the Neighborhood
19 STAR Board, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby approves funding of the Sixteenth
20 Cycle Neighborhood STAR Loan and Grant projects as identified on Attachment A; and be it
21
22 FURTHER RESOLVED, that implementation of all projects and programs identified for funding in
23 the Fifteenth Cycle Neighborhood STAR Large Loan and Grant Program shall conform to Part 6,
24 Awards and Implementation of the Neighborhood STAR Guidelines as revised in March, 2007;
25 and be it

27 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council wish to extend their appreciation to ali
28 app�icants, and especially to the Neighborhood STAR Board members for the commitment of
29 their time, talent, and efforts on behalf of the Neighborhood STAR Program and the City of Saint
30 Paul.
