WHEREAS, the assessment ofbenefits, cost and expenses for and in connection with the above improvement
has been submitted to the Council for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the property upon which the improvement has been made have voluntarilywaived
their right to a public hearing and appeal of said assessment by executed agreement and waiver, a copy of
which is on file with the Real Estate Section of the Office of Financial Services; and
WHEREAS, tbe Council has considered and found satisfactory said assessment; now, thereFore be it
RESOLVED, that the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the said assessment be and is hereby determined to be payable in twen equal installments.

The Valuation and Assessments Engineer hereby reports to the Council the following as a statement of the
expenditures necessarily incurred for and in connection with the making of the above improvement, viz:
Total construction costs $ 68,971.36
Engineering and Tnspection $ 0.00
Administrative Fee $ 500.00
TOTAL EXPENDITiJRES $ 69,471.36
Charge To: Assessments $ 69,471.36
Said Valuation and Assessment Engineer further reports that he has assessed and levied the total amount
as above ascertained, to-wit: the sum of $ 69,47136 upon each and every lot, part ar parcel of land
deemed benefited by the said improvement, and in the case of each lot, part or parcel of land in
accordance with the benefits conferred thereon; Yhat the said assessment has been completed, and that
hereto attached, identified by the signature of the said Real Estate Manager, and made a part hereof, is the
said assessment as completed by him, and which is herewith submitted to the Council for such action
thereon as may be considered proper.

State law allows private property owners wishing to install a fira protection system to finance the system through ciry assessmenYS.
The property owners of 1371 West 7th Street have submitted documentatiou in compliance with the City's fire protection system
progcam, have completed the improvemen[s, and the wock has been inspected and approved by the City. The properiy owners now
request the assessment in order to pay the coutractors.
AdvantageslfApproved:
The property owners may receive payment for the improvements. The Ciry wil] have the authority to assess for the improved work.

The City will be expending funds now that may not be paid back in full (with interest) for 20 yeazs.
