INITIATING PROBLEM,ISSUE,OPPORTUNITY(Who,What,When,Where,Why):
Because closed workers' compensation files cannot be destroyed as they could subsequently
be reopened due to a recurrence of an old injury, it is necessary to store them in the
City Attorney's Office and/or storage areas. It is advisable to have these records
microfilmed so they are kept in tact over a long period of time and because there is
physically not enough room to store them.
