The amount of the increase for 201 D was determined in the May I, 2008 through April 30, 2011 Maintenance Labor Agreement. The
dishibution of the increase between the wage and fringe benefits is determined each year by the bargaining unit.

The basic hourly wage rates for temporary employees whose length of service and earnings
require that they be subject to Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) contn�butions
shall be the temporary rate divided by 1.070 effective 3anuary 1, 2010. This rate is subject to
further increase or decrease by the State of Miiuiesota.
The basic hourly wage rate for provisional, regular, and probationary employees appointed

*� Effective April 26, 1997, this rate inchxdes the above taxable deductions in addition to 72
hours of paid holidays and 160 hours of paid vacation per fiscal year. Vacation carry over
shall be paid in accordance with Section I H ofthe Saint Paul Salary Plan and Rates of
Compensation. Vacation must be approved by the Head ofthe Department.

The above rates in Appendiic C mclude the $2.86 taYable Credit Union deduction wluch includes
the $0.58 taz�able Market Recovery Fund deduction. Also, included in the above rates is the
$4.49 taxabie amount paid directly to employees as part of their wage in lieu of a contnbution to
the Suppiemental Pension.
After appearing on the payroll for 1040 hours in the first step, an employee in the Sheet Metal
Inspector classification may be granted a wage increase to the seoond step.
Effective May 1, 2010 (or closest pay period), there will be an additional $2.45 per hour increase
added to the total package. The parties will agree prior to that date regazding the distnbution of
the $2.45 between wages and fringes. This amount will be decreased by any increase in industry
funds. The distdbution will mclude an r`ncrease of $0.21 per hour, to $3.15 per hour, for the
National Pension Fund contnbution
If the Union elects to have the contnbutions listed in Appendix D increased or decreased, the
Employer may adjust the above applicable rates for pazticipating employees in such a way that the
totai cost ofthe package (wage rate plus contnbutions} remains constant.

APPENDIX D
Effective May 1, 2010 (or closest pay period) the Employer shall:
(] ) contribute to a Welfaze Fund $733 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees.
(2) contribute to a Local Pension Fund $3.64 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees.
(3) contribute to a National Pension Fund $3.15 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees.
(4) deduct and forward to a Vacation Fund $2.86 per hour for all hours woxked by participating employees.
(5) contribute to the Joumeycnan and Apprenticeship Training Fund $0.65 per hour for all hours worked by
participating employees.
(6) contribute to the National Scholarship & SMOHI Fund $0.03 per hour for all hours worked by
participating employees.
(7) contribute to a Labor Management Fund $0.02 per how for all hours worked by participating employees.
(8) contribute to tbe NTF/NEMI fund $.15 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees.
The Employer will not make the above contributions for Holidays or vacation.
The above contributions may be increased or decreased as long as the applicable hourly rates in Appendix C for
participating employees are decreased or increased by the same total amount.
All wntributions and deductions made in aceordance with this Appendix shall be foiwarded to depositories as
directed by the Union.
The Employer shall establish Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Comgensation programs as required by
Minnesota Statutes.
The Emp3oyer's fringe benefit obligation to employees is limited to the contributions andlor deductions established
by this Agreement. The actual level of benefits provided to employees shall be the responsibillty of the Trustees of
the various funds to which the Employer has forwarded contributions andJor deductions.
