The Field Engineer corrected a potential design problem by directing the Contractor to add four counterweights to the ;xisting structure. ?. Northern States Power requested that the Contractor submit an alternate bid for two 5"diameter conduits,.replacing the four i"diameter conduits specified in the plans. Northern States Power will be reimbursing the City for this Bid Item 2401.541. %DVANTAGES IF APPROVED: The counterweights give the structure an improved factor of safety. ?.
