SERv1�'(_� MAYORS OFFICE INITIATING PROBLEM,ISSUE,OPPORTUNITY(WHO,WHAT,WHEN,WHERE,WHY): Construction considerations required that Northern States Power Gas Company relocate gas mains in Cayuga and other streets prior to the construction of new sewers. N.S.P. was unable to perform this work in a timely manner, resulting in delays to the Contractor's operations beyond his control. These delays were determined to total 25 calendar days, resulting in a proposed completion date of October 26 ,1988. (Note that the Contractor, M. Danner Trucking,completed work on November 3, 1988, and is to be assessed liquidated damages at$4,000.00.) ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED: A fair and reasonable completion date will be established which will not hold the Contractor liable for delays caused by others, r excuse him for delays which were rightly within his control and could have been avoided.
