Mortinson DATE February 10, 1956 0. .— WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from January lst through Febmary lath, 1956 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums, Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Operate switchboard, ventilating system and electric work, also supervise during various attractions held in the building. and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the fallowing facts and circum- stances: No other trained help available to work during winter carnival events, conventions and other activities held in the building. This time also includes Saturdays, Sundays and holiday time. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorised to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councils Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
