WHEREAS, The Civil Service Ca issioner has reported in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency daring
the period from January 2, 1956, to January 31, 1956, which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the Civil Service
Bureau for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:
Entering annual salary changes and computing
and entering sick leave credits; necessary
to administer examinations an Saturday.
And W1AS, This emorgency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstanoes:
Could not be handled by untrained personnel.
THEW= BE IT RMLM, THAT the proper city officers are hereby authorised
to pay the employees shown on the attached list, who perfermed such work
in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance,
No. 64".
