PAUL COUNCIL N 6 OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK Ci ^il PYle No 7lft"Y po • _� ESOLUTION—GENERAL F Jt COMM PRESENTED DATE_ WHEREAS, By City of Saint Paul Ordinance No. 10369, passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor, September 21 , 1954, and ratified and approved by a majority of the electors of said City at the election held November 2, 1951 , the City of Saint Paul was authorized to issue and sell negotiable bonds of said City in the sum of Five Million, Five Hundred Thousand 051500,000.00) Dollars par value for the purpose of extending, enlarging, improving and bettering the Water Works System owned and operated by said City, and WHEREAS, Heretofore, the aggregate of One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1 ,500,000.00) par value of such authorized bonds were duly .issued and sold by the City of Saint Paul for the purpose of its acquisition of the funds necessary for 114 accomplishment of the first portion of the aforesaid extending, enlarging, improving and bettering of its said Water Works System, under and as authorized by said 'Ordinance No. 10369 and the Resolutions of the Council of the City of Saint Paul pursuant thereto, C. F. No. 172163, approved March 3, 1955 and C. F. No. 172824, approved April 22, 1955, and WHEREAS, It has been made to appear by the report and resolution of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul and it is found that at this time it is necessary that an additional Two Million ($2,000,000.00) Dollars par value of such authorized bonds be issued and sold, as authori`zed 'by said ordinance No. 10369 aso by the resolution of the Council of $aid City, C. F. Both principal and interest of this bond are payable in lawful money of the United States of America at the office of the Commissioner of Finance in the City of Saint Paul , or at the Fiscal Agency of the City of Saint Paul , in the City of New York, State of New York, at the option of the holder; and for the prompt payment of this bond, both principal and interest at maturity, the faith and credit of the City of Saint Paul are hereby irrevocably pledged. This bond is one of a series amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) issued by the City of Saint Paul for the purpose of extending, enlarging, improving, and bettering the waterworks system owned and operated by the City of Saint Paul . This bond is issued pursuant to Ordinance No. 10369, passed by the Council of said City, and duly signed, attested, approved and published in the manner required by the Charter of the said City and approved by the electors of the City of Saint Paul at the election held November 2, 1954, and the Resolution of said Council , C. F. No. 176594, passed and approved January 27, 1956, and under authority of and in all respects in full compliance with Section 217 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul and such other sections thereof as may be applicable thereto, and Chapter 475, Minnesota Statutes 1953, as amended. It is hereby certified and recited that all things, acts and conditions required by the Constitution and laws of the State of Minnesota andl the Charter of said City to happen and be done and performed precedent to and in the issuance of this bond have happened and been done and performed in regular and due form and time as required by law, and that the total indebtedness of said City, including this bond, does not exceed any constitutional , statutory, or charter limitations.
