PAUL , . �- OFFICE OF THE CITY CLER a-the"-nl& COUNCIL RESO UTIO GENER-"O PRESENTED BY p �re Stirddtt, COMMISSIONS eembeT'l. 1e cr z,r r ._..�. -.r'�s.Ftia ttrt el3 WHEREAS, In t e matter of Comptroller's Contract L-5663, for the construction of New Ornamental Lights on Rice Street from Sycamore to Hawthorne Street, the specified date of com- pletion is December 15, 1955 and WHEREAS, the contractor has prosecuted the work diligently but was delayed due to unusual weather conditions beyond the control of the contractor, it was not possible to complete the contract until December 31, 1955, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the proper City officials be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute an amendment to said contract extending the time of completion to December 31, 1955 provided however, that this resolution shall have no force or effect unless the sureties on the contractor' s bond consent thereto and file such consent in writing with the City Comptroller, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of St. Paul hereby waives all claim for liquidated damages and that no engineering and inspection costs on this project will be charged by the City on account of such extended period.
