To the Honorable Mayor and Members
of the City Council
Gentlemen:
This department has previously ac-
quired the tax-forfeited lands lying north of Carroll Avenue
and west of Oxford Street for development of a playground.
In order to expand this site, I recom-
mend that application be made to the Commissioner of Taxation
for a conveyance of the tax-forfeited lands described as:- Lots
1 through 7 and Lots 9 through 12, in Block 3, G. V. Bacon's Sub-
division.
The acquisition of these lots, to-
gether with a privately owned parcel, will permit development
of this playground in the best possible manner.
Very truly yours,
Commissioner of Parks, Play-
grounds and Public Buildings
