(March 3t, MN)) WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Finance has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the Cityaiarter, the existence of an emergency during the period from March 16, 1956, to March 31, 1956, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Finance for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following described work: examin- ing lands and buildings proposed to be acquired for school sites, street openings, sewer easements, Capitol Approach, etc., and pre- paring estimates of damages to individual properties; checking assess- ments for local improvements and miscellaneous work; and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: increased departmental activity caused by Bond Issue Program on top of a previously crowded program; // THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
