RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee therefor
and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivery for the City of St. Paul Water Department
f.o.b. cars at Hugo, Minnesota, Northern Pacific RR Siding, for Centerville Station, two
Electric motor•driven Horizontal Centrifugal Pumping Units, and f.o.b. cars at McCarron Pump
Station, St. Paul, Minnesota, One Horizontal Variable•speed motor•driven Centrifugal Pumping
Unit, to DE LAVAL STEAM TURBINE COMPANY in accordance with Water Department specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #5553 of said DeLaval Steam Turbine Company, at
a total contract price of $87,782.00, such bid being the lowest meeting City of St.Paul
specifications and said De Laval Steam Turbine Company being a reliable and reasonable bidder
and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract
therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of St.Paul.
