RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $285.00 be
allowed under contract number G-120 between the City
of Saint Paul and the Rydeen Construction Company,
said contract for General Contruction of Four Playgrounds
Buildings located at the Lockwood Playground, Ruth
Playgrounds, Hayden Heights Playgrounds, and McMurray
Field, St. Paul, Minnesota, and said extra to cover a
reinforced concrete floor system for the Hayden Heights
Playgrounds Building, this work having been requested
by the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public
Buildings, and agreement made with the Contractor, and
a memorandum of said agreement having been filed with
the Comptroller and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir :
Contract Number G-120 was awarded to the Rydeen Construction
Company for General Construction of Four Playground Buildings
located at the Lockwood Playground, Ruth Playgrounds, Hayden
Heights Playgrounds and McMurray Field, St. Paul, Minnesota.
During the course of the work under this contract, it has
been determined that a reinforced concrete floor system for the
Hayden Heights Playground Building would be better than the
specification requirements and necessary for a proper job. Negotia-
tions have been conducted with the Contractor who agrees to do the
following work at the Hayden Heights Playgrounds Building for the
additional sum of $285.00:
Furnish all labor and materials to construct
reinforced concrete floor system for Hayden
Heights Playground Building, including filling
the existing tranches and tamping the same
and providing additional sand and gravel
fill under the floor.
This is a reasonable amount for the labor and material in-
volved, and it is therefore requested that a Resolution be sub-
mitted to the Council which will authorize an addition in the
amount of $285.00 to this contract to cover the above listed work.
