I j 82 • �atf, Commission •b be eorr • OFFICE OF THE CI ,t •.#.:members, Bee od w r of the CM i OUNCIL RESOLUTION— ' 0 hrp PRESENTED BY ,tie*tA to r_ ,3 aF$rov vs.40 COMMISSION~ �� � : RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that there be and hereby is created a Commission to be composed of six members, five of whom shall be residents of the City of Saint Paul and appointed by the Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums, subject to approval and confirmation by this Council under its resolution, and the sixth of whom shall be said Commissioner, who, ex officio, shall be the Chairman of said Commission; that said Commission shall be denominated The Civic Educational Center Building Commission of the City of Saint Paul; that every matter concerning the selection of the site, the appointment of an architect, the awarding of the construction and equipment contracts therefor, the allocation of space therein and the operation of the presently pro- posed Civic Education Center Building of the City of Saint Paul before the Council' s final decision thereon, shall be- referred by this Council to said Commission for its investigation, study and recommendation for its ultimate action to they: Council, in each such matter, subject to adoption and approval by this Council and com- pliance with all applicable provisions of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Saint Paul and the Statutes of the State of Minnesota and further subject to all applicable rules and regulations pre- scribed and promulgated by public authority having cognizance. RESOLVED FURTHER, that said Commission shall, subject to Councilmanic authorization therefor, in each instance, be empowered to employ technical and other personnel and to provide for the making of drawings, sketches, models and site tests which shall be deemed conducive to the expedition and the execution of the best results in and concerning its aforesaid operations; and that no member of said Commission, as such, shall become entitled to or shall receive from the City of Saint Paul any salary or other form of compensation and each such member of said Commission, as such, shall perform all ser- vices in connection with its activities gratuitously, and be it RESOLVED FURTHER, that such expenditures, by said Com- mission which shall be authorized by this Council, shall be made from COUNCILMEN Adopted by the Council 195_ Yeas Nays Gibbons -$epees Approved 195_ Holland Marzitelli In Favor _ Mortinson Mayor Re --- Against Mr.President, Dillon 5M 6.55 0411.602 Original to City Clerk 177882 CITY OF ST. PAUL COUNCIL NO. r OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK J' COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATF funds of the City of Saint Paul available and appropriated therefor; and that, subject to the provision hereof for the chairmanship of said Commission to reside in said Commissioner, said Commission shall be empowered to eleot its own officers and to make its own rules for the conduct of all of its authorized activities aforesaid. RESOLVED FURTHER, that the term of each member of said Commission shall be for the term of two years, in respect of those hereinabove provided to be appointed by said Com- missioner sukriect to approval and confirmation by the Council, and until his successor shall have been appointed and shall have qualified.
