OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK e?,UNC ESOLUTION-GENERAL RM PRESENTED BY V COMMISSIONER DATE /�� WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from May 1, 1956 to May 15, 1956 inclusive which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Utilities for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following works Checking bus schedules and loadings, Supervising the activities of the City Market, and Making concrete block tests, and WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum- stances: Submission by the Street Railway Company of proposed schedule changes, Saturday work made necessary because of increased activity at the City Market, and Completion of tests requiring continuous attention, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the pro- visions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
