RESOLVED, that Skelly Oil Company be permitted to
install a parking lot on the triangle bounded by Seventh
Street, Fauquier Avenue and Cypress Street, on property
described as Lot 1, Block 18, Terry's Addition, in accord-
ance with applicant's plans filed April 23, 1956, and subject
to compliance with the provisions of all ordinances governing
the operation of parking lots; subject also to the condition
that sidewalks abutting said premises be kept clean and free
of ice and snow at all times.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of the Skelly Oil
Company for a permit to establish a parking lot on lot 1,
block 18 - Terry's Addition. This is the easterly 50' of the
triangularly shaped plot of ground bounded by Seventh St. on
the north, Fauquier on the south and Cypress on the east.
The zoning is "commercial." The applicants are proposing to
establish a parking lot with a capacity of approximately 14
cars which will be served by a driveway from Fauquier and a
driveway from Cypress just southerly of Seventh Street. Cars
will be parked perpendicular adjacent to the easterly side of
the lot. The property will be suitably fenced, surfaced and
drained in accordance with all applicable City standards.
Plans have been approved by the various City agencies involved
and the Zoning Board finds no objection to this proposal from
the standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic.
In consideration of the general desirability of providing
sufficient off-street parking in this area, the Zoning Board
recommends this permit be granted in accordance with the
applicant's plans filed April 23, 1956.
