RESOLVED, that Skelly Oil Company be permitted to install
and operate a gasoline filling station on Lots 3, 4, and 5,
Block 18, Terry's Addition, on the triangle bounded by Seventh,
Fauquier Avenue and Cypress Street, in accordance with applicant's
plans filed April 23, 1956, the installation to be under the
direction and to the satisfaction of the commissioner of
Public Safety; whenever the Council may determine that said
station constitutes a traffic or fire hazard, this permit may
be revoked.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of Skelly Oil
Company for a permit to establish a new filling station
on the west 145' of the triangle formed by Fauquier, Cypress
and Seventh St. The property under consideration is adjacent
to the northeast corner of the intersection of Fauquier and
Seventh. The legal description of this property is quite
lengthy and is enclosed in the applicant's attached permit
application. The zoning is "commercial."
The property is presently used for billboard and parking
lot. The property has a frontage of 146.18' on E. 7th and
145.8 7' on Fauquier. The applicant's plans meet existing
filling station standards and have been approved by the
various City agencies involved. With this application the
Skelly Oil Company is also asking for permission to establish
a 14-car parking lot on the easterly end of this triangle,
the recommendation for which is covered in a separate letter
which accompanies this report.
In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board recommends
this permit be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans
filed April 23, 1956.
