Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the Council Chamber of the
Court House and City Hall, in said City, at 10 o'clock A. M. on
May 8, 1956, upon the advisability and necessity of the repair,
replacement, remodeling, or wrecking and removal of the one-story
frame dwelling on Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Sylvan Heights Addition,
according to the plat thereof recorded in the office of the
Register of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minnesota, also described as
No. 1617 McAfee Street, because said structure is reported to be
dangerous and unsafe to life, limb and adjoining property.

Gentlemen:
It is our recommendation that the one story frame dwell-
ing , known as 1617 McAfee Street, be condemned.
It is located on Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Sylvan Heights
Addition. This building has been partially boarded up,
doors have been knocked off. It sets on concrete blocks
spaced intermittently. There are no water or sanitary
facilities , and the Health Department has posted the
building.
We have been corresponding with Mrs. Alethea M. Habber-
stad , 23 W. Acker Street, who is record owner. Danger
Notices are being posted today.
Please set a hearing date in accordance with Section
107.2 of the Building Code , as we believe this building
is past reasonable repair and should be wrecked and re-
moved from the premises.
