• RESOLVED, That the Council hereby . •ro es the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contrac f• the installation of Traffic Control Signals
at East Seventh Street and Mounds B d, East Seventh Street and Maria Avenue, East
Seventh Street and Hope Street, Tenth Street and Wabasha Street, Lexington Parkway
and Hoyt Avenue; Interconnection. of Signals on Snelling Avenue, East Seventh Street,
Wabasha Street, and Tenth Street; and extra Conduit to be installed on Snelling
Avenue, to COMMONWEALTH ELECTRIC COMPANY in accordance with City plans and speci-
fications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #5738 of said Commonwealth
Electric Company, for the contract price of $47,959.00 (Unit prices bid to be used
in determining the value of any additions aria-807:13r-unit prices bid to be used in
determining value of any deductions in the work to be done under the plans which may
be ordered by the Commissioner of Public Works or his authorized agentj, plus $2400.00
Engineering by City Forces, such bid being the lowest and said Commonwealth Electric
Company being the lowest reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel
be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the
proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
the City of St. Paul.
