ment of Dickerman3s Park, except that part deeded for parking purposes,
in accordance with applicant s plans dated April 19th and filed June 19th,
1956, and pursuant to conditions set forth in letter of the Traffic Engineer
dated November 9, 1955.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of William Davidson for a permit
to install a parking lot on property adjacent to the northeast corner of
Fairview and University. This property is described as the westerl 1 0'

of the southerly 400' of Dickerman's Re-arrangement of Dickerman's except
that part deeded for park purposes. The zoning is "Heavy Industry."

This property has a frontage of approximately 290' along Fairview and ex-
tends easterly from Fairview a distance of approximately,180' . The wester-
ly 30' of this tract is part of the boulevard incident to Fairview Avenue,
and the applicant has secured the approval of the Traffic Committee for the
conditional use of this property for public parking. The applicant's plan
calls for the construction of two driveways from Fairview with the cars
arranged in rows running in a north-south direction. This lot will have a
capacity of approximately 80 cars and will be used by the public contacting
facilities in the area and as an employee parking lot.
The Zoning Board finds that the applicant's proposal would materially enhance
the usability of adjacent property and operate to minimize traffic congestion
in the vicinity. They further find that the applicant's plans meet existing
standards and that the policy of granting the use of the public portion of
this site has been reviewed and approved by the Traffic Committee.
In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board recommends this permit
be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans dated April 19 and filed
June 19, 1956 and pursuant to conditions set forth in the letter of the
Traffic Engineer dated November 9, 1955.
