RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $454.25 be
allowed under contract number G-143 between the City
of Saint Paul and the Thornton Brothers Company, said
contract for Site Preparation for the Municipal Stadium
and said extra to cover additional piping in the sprinkler
system, this work having been requested by the Commissioner
of Liliaries, Auditorium and Museums, and agreement made
with the contractor, and a memorandum of said agreement
having been filed with the Comptroller and countersigned
by him.

Dear Sir :
Contract number G-143 was awarded to the Thornton Brothers
Company for Site Preparation for the Municipal Stadium.
During the course of the work under their contract, it has
been found necessary to have additional piping in the sprinkler
system which was not included in the original specifications.
At the request of Commissioner Mortinson, negotiations have been
conducted with the contractor who agrees to provide this addi-
tional piping for the sum of $454.25. This is a reasonable
amount for the labor and material involved.
It is therefore recommended that a resolution be submitted to
the Council which will authorize an addition to this contract in
the amount of $454.25 covering the above work.
