The Honorable Joseph E. Dillon, Mayor,

of the City of Saint Paul
Gentlemen:
Under authority granted by Chapter 315, Laws of
Minnesota for 1945, the City of Saint Paul has acquired
many properties in the Capitol Approach area. Under
the same statute the City is given authority to
transfer any of said property to the State of Minnesota.
The State Highway Department needs certain small corner
pieces of the properties owned by the City, in order
to construct a new State Highway Department Building.
The Valuations Engineer has recommended that
the State Highway Department be allowed to purchase
said small corner pieces of land for the price of
$20,686.00, which price has been agreed to by the
State Highway Department. We have, therefore, drawn
a resolution which would effectuate this purpose for
your consideration.
