WHEREAS, In connection with condemnations of properties
needed for the construction of State Veterans Service Building
as described in agreement No. 692 between State Veterans Service
Building Commission and the City of Saint Paul executed May 10,
1956, on file in City Comptroller's Office, an amount of approx-
imately $750,000.00 will have to be paid out for ayment of
awards and expenses connected with the condemnations of above
mentioned property, and
WHEREAS, the State Veterans Service Building Commission
has agreed to assume 42% of the cost for the awards and other
incidental expenses, the remaining 58% to be paidlby the City of
Saint Paul out of its Capitol Approach Bond Fund, with the ex-
ception of Lots 8 and 9, Block 1, Irvine's Addition, for which
the Commission shall pay the entire cost of acquisition, be it
THEREFORE RESOLVED, That the proper City officials be
directed to charge payments for awards and other incidental ex-
penses in connection with condemnation of properties needed for
the construction of State Veterans Service Building, be paid
out of P.I.R. Fund Code 3001 and that they in turn bill the
State Veterans Service Commission for 42% of such costs and the
Capitol Approach Bond Fund Code 4001 for the remaining 58% in
order to reimburse the P.I.R. Fund for the payments made.
