WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums has reported
in accordance with Section 51 of the City Charter, the existence of
an emergency during the period from May 1, 1956 to May 31, 1956,
inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain
employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums,
Bureau of Public Libraries, for more then eight hours per day or forty
hours per week in doing the following work:
(1) Evening use of Bookmobile.
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by the reason of the following fact
and circumstance: •
Evening use of Bookmobile.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized
to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the
provision of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 614h6.
