RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, material and
services necessary for and reasonably incidental to the furnishing and erection of
seven hoodless soft ball and one hooded baseball backstops and new fence, also
re•erection of existing fence for playground area located on Duluth Street between
Lawson and Case Avenues, St. Paul, Minnesota, to MINNESOTA FENCE & IRON WORES, INC.
in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the
Formal Bid #5760 of said Minnesota Fence & Iron Works, Inc. for the contract price
of $6,247.00, such bid being the lowest and said Minnesota Fence & Iron Works, Inc.
being the lowest reasonable and reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be,
and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the
proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
the City of St. Paul.
