WEEMS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from May 16th to May 31st 1956 inc., which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Mater
Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per
week in doing the following work:
Supervising repairs to broken 24" gate at Larpenteur and Sylvan, and
supervising repairs to broken water main at Howard & Conway.
AID WE AS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and.
efremestances:
Ieeessafy to work on Saturday in order to put water mains back
in service as soon as possible.
TRIREME, El IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance
with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance >ib.64464
