WHEREAS, Alfred H. Schroeder, City Architect, having requested
the City Council to hold a public hearing to. consider any complaints
about the expense incurred by the City of' Saint Paul in removing a
dangerous structure at 91 W. Hyacinth St. , more particularly described
as Lot 31, Block 2, Wifelburg Hills, City of Saint Paul, the City

Council held a public hearing on M 23, 1956, to consider the
expense and to confirm the amount thereof, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the' City Council, pursuant to' C.F.
No. 174969, approved Sept. 13, 1955, published Sept. 17, 1955; set
a public hearing to consider removing the dangerous' structure, and
the City Council by C.F. No. 175288, adopted Oct. 5, 1955, published
Oct. 8, 1955, ordered the•wrecking.by and at the separate cost and
expense , of the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof,
and the City Council by" C.F. No. "t. = . 175553, approved Oct. "27, 1955,
published Oct. 29, 1955, directed the Commissioner of Parks, Play-
grounds_ and Public Buildings to enter upon the premises and wreck
and remove the building_ thereon and -do any and all things_ therein"
necessaryfor the protection of life, limb and adjoining property,
and that the City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense of $164. +1
in removing said structure; and

premises; be it
RESOLVED, that we, the City Council of the City of Saint
Paul, do hereby confirm the amount of $164.41 to be the fair, true
and reasonable amount for such services incurred in removing the
dangerous structure; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be directed to file in
the office of the Register of Deeds for the County of Ramsey a state-
ment of expense incurred by the City for the purpose of securing a
lien on the property, pursuant to the Building Code. MAY 2 9

Attached herewith is a copy of Council File No. 178062
approved by the City Council May 29, 1956 and published
June 2, 1956 in the official paper.
This confirms the expense amount of $164.41 for services
incurred in removing the dangerous structure at 91 West
Hyacinth Avenue, described as Lot 31, Block 2, Wifelburg
Hills, City of St. Paul.
As you will note, the final paragraph directs the City
Clerk to file in the office of the Register of Deeds a
statement of expense incurred for the purpose of securing a
lien on the property. If you will refer to former Assist-
ant Corporation Counsel J. Jerome Plunkett's letter of Feb-
ruary 26, 1952, you will note the procedure to be followed.

Register of Deeds for the purpose of creating a lien on
the property known as 91 West Hyacinth Avenue, located on
Lot 31, Block 2, Wifelburg Hills. The property is listed
in the name of James J. Kirwan, 1127 Karyl P1. , St. Paul
13; Robert F. Galvin, 1524 Albany St. , St. Paul 13; Arthur
K. and Margaret K. Tiedman, 400 Endicott on Fourth, St.
Paul 1; Geo. D. and Lillian P. Brown, 1074 Hazelwood Ave. ,
Apt. B, St. Paul 6; and Antonio Legato, 767 Payne Avenue,
St. Paul 1. and Robt. S. Bolin, 1426 Rice St. , St. Paul 3.
The expense was incurred by virtue of the wrecking and re-
moval of the dangerous frame dwelling therefrom. Following
